Who I am

Many moons ago I studied fashion design at Saint Martins school of Art, going on to work in Film and TV. These times were very exciting, creative and fun, but also came with extreme stress, anxiety and burn out.

As a neurodiverse introvert it was never going to end well! In those days self-awareness was not on my radar, neither was self-care or wellbeing, and I have to admit, my go-to methods of stress relief were more centred in the pub rather than on the yoga mat…….that came later! There was a lot of crash and burn.

My body had to shout very loud for me to take notice…….and it did - within 6 month period I went through a cervical cancer scare, followed by an ectopic pregnancy resulting in an emergency surgery and to top it off, an endometriosis diagnosis. I went through this really not understanding what was happening- I didn’t know what an ectopic pregnancy was neither had I ever heard of endometriosis. It was a baptism of fire into female pelvic health issues….

This crisis gifted me the portal to create systemic change in my life - I gave up my TV career, left London and moved to the Sussex coast .

What followed was my initiation into the underworld- a journey of grief, despair and breakdown from which came a radical change of life, healing and motherhood. During this time one of my lifelines was yoga and meditation, and I went on to study with the British Wheel of Yoga.

These past 20 years I’ve continued to study and research aspects of female health and wellbeing, from the esoteric to the scientific - psychotherapy, embodiment, menstrual cycle awareness, embodied female pelvic care, rites of passage, female nervous system, menopause and Functional Kinesiology.

I’m constantly intriuged by world around me and how we exist within it…….. a self-confessed body and science geek, nature lover, a seeker and explorer.

I’m passionate about supporting women through transitions and thresholds of life, from mid-life to menopause and beyond. Women experience unnecessary suffering when it comes to physical and mental health partly due to lack of female medical research and the constant male bias and perspective that runs through society and culture, and my mission is to change this paradigm through female centered practices and education.

A big influence is my teen daughter, in equal amounts she infuriates and amazes me, fills me with love and fuels my passion to make this a more female friendly world.

I live in the Sussex countryside with my husband, daughter and animals.

What People Are Saying

"I signed up for the course at a time when I ..needed a safe space in which to explore further my pelvic anatomy, my relationship to my pelvis to help me in my healing journey. Jane offered this and more and the course really helped me in my own healing journey and back home to myself again. Reawakening parts of me that had been quiet for a little while. A great course full of ideas for self inquiry for all women to explore. Jane holds a lovely open, supportive safe space in which to explore and grow."

“I've attended some of Jane's Embodied Wellbeing coaching sessions, Jane guided me clearly through each posture, giving details of how to place the body. She also gave choices depending on what was possible, so that I could easily find a way to adapt if I needed to, feeling confident that my posture was giving me a valuable message. Jane's enquiries were well paced, with time to reflect and explore what the posture showed about my everyday life. I learned about my place in the rhythm of my life, with surprising clarity. I feel comfortable and safely held in Jane's sessions, relaxed and energised, alert and responsive. I love the discovery that's possible with Jane that gives me feedback about my own state and effectiveness. I thoroughly recommend Jane's Yoga and Embodied Wellbeing Coaching..”

I am very fortunate to have worked with Jane recently, who has helped me regulate my nervous system (after god knows how many years stuck in fight or flight mode) through somatic coaching, breathwork and kinesiology with amazing gentleness, humour and knowledge. Thank you so much !

“For last four years I have suffered from mental abuse from my ex husband.

When it started again this week I found myself actually striking the ‘no’ pose. It came quite natural and it wasn’t until I reflected on it that I realised how empowered it made me feel.

Coming to your session was my treat for the month so thank you for making it so worthwhile.”

"Jane comes with an open heart offering and sharing her wisdom and knowledge to enable other women to connect deeply to their body, to set intentions aligned with the seasons. I found the session really valuable in getting out of the head and into the body. I enjoyed dipping into how the seasons make me feel and what my intentions were in relation to what I know will be happening this year and how I can affect change and connection based on the rhythm of the seasons."

— Paula

“Today was the final day of a 6 week course on the Pelvis with Jane. As a fellow Yoga Teacher, I found Jane's delivery brilliantly paced. An informative, extremely interesting and insightful course with a lovely new friend. ”
